Vermillion Radiance

"Vermillion Radiance" is a small mixed-medium sculpture that captures the essence of ones inner light and divine femininity. This sculpture is one of a pair, complementing its male counterpart, “Vermillion Power”.

Using air-dry clay as the primary medium, the sculpture captures the curves and contours of the feminine form. Painted with vibrant red acrylics, the figure is infused it with life and intensity, while variations in the shades add depth through the emphasis of shadow and light.

Atop the torso, instead of a traditional head, a sun made of clay is positioned, fixed in place with a wire pin. This symbolizes the radiant inner light that shines from within, illuminating one's essence and spirit.

This piece is an expression of the artist's affinity for surrealism, specifically in portraying the replacement of traditional heads with other images and serves as an invitation to explore the interconnectedness of the physical and metaphysical realms.

The plump and full-bodied figure of the sculpture contributes to a sense of softness and divine femininity, embracing and appreciating the beauty of one's unique form.
